EUFMC 2026 REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Make plans today to attend the 73rd annual EUFMC in Williamsburg, Virginia. In 2026, the conference will take place as the 250th anniversary of the United States of America draws near, in the same Historic Triangle where the nation’s story began and its independence was won. Coinciding with the 100th anniversary of Colonial Williamsburg, the 18th-century town and world’s largest U.S. history museum, EUFMC 2026 will feature special events and celebrations.

From the Grid to the Garage: How Industry Disruption Is Reshaping Utility Fleets will be the focus of the EUFMC 2026 Keynote Address by Peter Waldrab. The Vice President-Electric Distribution at LG&E and KU will lead off the conference General Session discussing how challenges from explosive load growth to more volatile and destructive weather, heightened customer affordability concerns, and a rapidly shifting regulatory landscape are transforming how utilities equip the people who build, maintain, and restore the grid.

Waldrab, a 20-year veteran of utility industry leadership roles across electric transmission and distribution operations, was named to his current position in 2022. Prior to joining LG&E and KU, he worked for PPL in leadership roles supporting development and implementation of the utility’s distribution smart grid system, and in the digital transformation of field work.

Kyle Scheele to Headline EUFMC 2026 as Dinner Speaker

Known as "the patron saint of crazy ideas” for having a Viking funeral, hosting the world's first fake marathon, or gaining a million TikTok followers in just 25 hours, Kyle Scheele will share his approach to success as the EUFMC 2026 dinner speaker.

His presentation —Becoming an Idea Factory: How to Turn Yourself (and Your Organization) Into an Innovation Machine— will be sponsored by International, Leadership Sponsor.

It was another record year at EUFMC. More than 600 registrations for the 72nd annual conference included:

• 177 fleet representatives from 107 investor-owned utilities, 34 utility contractors, 10 utility cooperatives, 12 municipal operations, and 14 other fleets that operate, manage and maintain utility equipment
• 62 new fleet representatives and 4 new companies
• 10 educational sessions featuring 27 speakers
• 350 supplier representatives from 97 companies that offer vehicles, equipment, products, and services for utility fleet operations
• 45 presentations at the Drive-Thru Demonstration and 90 exhibitors at the Equipment Show

The EUFMC General Session is a two-day comprehensive educational program featuring presentations by industry experts, manufacturers and fleets. Fleet representatives and suppliers also participate in roundtable discussions to exchange information and discuss mutual challenges, find solutions and develop best practices.

Representatives from manufacturers and suppliers of vehicles, equipment, products and services for utility fleet operations attend EUFMC. The event includes a drive-through utility equipment demonstration and an equipment show that is the site of more than 60 displays.
